Big Sister

Lately it's been raining a lot and G. loves to go for walks in the rain. She always carries her own umbrella....and when the wind tries to blow it out of her hands, she grips it tight and yells, "Stop, wind!"

G. is a great big sister and loves to help with baby brother. She is great at fetching things for me and she likes to help wash him in his bath. She especially likes to notify us when he is crying.

Lately we've been working on getting her to clean up after herself. The other day Ed asked her whether she wanted to pick up her legos or have Ed do it and then take them away for a day or two. Without a pause, she said "Take away." So Ed picked them up and headed out to the garage with the box. As soon as he left the room, she burst into hysterical tears and ran after him. When she got to the back door, Ed turned around to see that she was holding out a single lego that he had missed and was sobbing "You missed one, Daddy! You missed one!". He took it from her and she turned around and walked off.
