Good Little Helper

G. likes to help us do our chores. She likes to help vacuum. She likes to get on a chair and help do the dishes. She stands on a chair and helps put dirty clothes in the washer. She helps roll out the pizza dough and pour in ingredients when we cook. While most of her helping is cute, it doesn't usually speed up the process of actually getting things done. There are two exceptions: fetching and washcloth folding. She is often willing to go get something for us if she understands what we are asking for (although lately, her father's requests to get his shoes are answered with 'no, daddy', so maybe this behavior is on the decline). But she is still excited about washcloth folding and the other day she folded this whole pile of washcloths all by herself. She was understandably pleased with herself and it was truly helpful!
