Summer Vacation and Bathtime
We spent a week at Grandma's house in July and Genevieve got to play in the lake for the first time. Considering that she had been on a 2-month bath strike at this point, we were surprised that she was willing to get in the water.
The bath strike finally ends (after spending 3 hours to slowly coax her into playing next to the tub, then in the tub next to a bin of water and then finally into the bin):
Now she wants to take baths all the time and would prefer that we let her stay in indefinitely.

Awe! So cute! Was she taking showers instead? Audrey would generally prefer to, but the poor child gets dunked in the bath every night no matter what. (Park dirt you know). Usually she is pretty mad until we are done with the washing part and then she decides that she will stay in the bath a little longer and play...
Um, no..... Actually we are very bad parents. We were just giving her occasional sponge baths. Luckily she doesn't like to be dirty or even have dirt on her hands, so she doesn't get very dirty from day to day and even now that she likes her bath, we only do it a couple times a week. We would let her do it more often if it weren't for all the pooping in the tub.

The pictures are so cute! I can totally imagine that process. Good job ending the strike!
I'm still giving David sponge baths, but with more and more "poring" of water over him. I can get him super clean with the sponge bath. My mom-in-law insisted on giving him a bath bath, but he cried and struggled so much that she couldn't get into any of his creases, and he got less clean! Of course, I guess it's a little different with a 1 month old. :)
