Accidents

Today we were all sitting in the living room when Ed picked up Genevieve's moose puppet and noticed that it was very wet.  She had been playing with it all evening and had filled it with various little toys, which were also wet.  We questioned her about it, but she wasn't forthcoming with an explanation.

Then I had a vision of sorts.    I had sent her in the bathroom several times to wipe her runny nose.  She had been playing with the moose.  Oh no.

Me:  Genevieve, did you drop the moose in the toilet when you were in the bathroom wiping your nose?
G (looking a little embarrassed):  Yes, mommy.
Me:  Did you set it on the toilet seat while you were getting some toilet paper and then it fell in?
G:  Yes, mommy.
Me (in one of my better mommy moments):  Next time you drop something in the toilet, please ask for help.
